Do you think that a person can overcome his triple handicap and succeed in his life ?

     Yes,I have a person who has cleared all these hurdles and reached zeniths in her life.This is the story of HELEN KELLER an inspirer to helen keller with president dwlightall the people.She was a very different child as she could not comprehend what others said nor could she respond.She could not even see the world. SO she was a triple handicap who could not SEE,HEAR,SPEAK.

She proved that “The virtue in life is real courage that knows how to face facts and live beyond them.” 

        HELEN KELLER ROSE above her triple handicap became one of the best known characters in the modern world.She believed the should live and work like others do.In the inner quiet of her own dark castle she built up strength.

        KELLER  was robust until 19 months.Then she suffered from ‘Brain fever.’ She was seriously ill and lost her eyes soon,then her sense of hearing.At the age of 3 she became mute too.

    She was physically strong but could not help herself.Her parents took her to various institutions to tame her but they couldn’t.Finally they came to know about “ANNE SULLIVAN” an Irish tutor.

            ANNE put all her efforts to tame her.She made KELLER disciplined. One day KELLER rushed at her tutor felt her dress and face,tried to open her bag staging a scene when refused to open.ANNE gifted KELLER a doll,to her surprise ANNE noticed the girl spelled into her hands the letters d-o-l-l.

        When Anne took away the doll a tussle began-the first of many.Anne moved the girl into an adjoining cottage away from her parents.A Herculean battle of wills raged for several days.It was both physical and mental struggle,but Miss Anne won,even though she had to hold Keller down by force for two hours,at a time to quarrel her fierce resistance.”Her relentless spirit gropes in the dark,” teacher commented.helen keller playing with anne

      Anne also noted that the girl had her own ways of indicating wishes.If she longed for ice Cream she turned the handle of an imaginary freezer.For bread  and butter she went on through the motions of cutting and spreading.She learnt to spell words by the manual language-pi,hat,cup and verbs like sit,stand,walk-without comprehending that they had any meaning.

      Within two weeks a gleam of light dawned.Anne took her to the pump house and drew water.As it flowed into the mug and over the child’s right hand she spelled “WATER.“The word startled the tutor.Keller returned home touching every thing as she moved and added 30 words in her vocabulary in no time.Since then her Carrier began.

             Keller speedily learnt to speak.her first conveyance of thought was “I am not dumb now”. She learnt Braille and read books on Asthmatics,Geography,Zoology.Keller was admitted in ‘Gilman school for Young ladies’ in Cambridge.In 1900 she became the first triple handicap to go for higher education.

                    She graduated in 1904.Already requests were flowing in for appearances and for magazine articles.Keller made her first speech in 1913.Keller later appeared in many meetings and became a Celebrity.Her books were widely published in various languages.She then showed enormous interest in the blind,raising money for them.She received many awards too.

              ” KELLER remains till today a symbol of strength,determination and will power to fight against all odds.”
